Finals Post

1. Explain how successful you've been this semester?

I think the level of success I have achieved since the first semester has vastly improved.

2. On a daily basis what do you think your average exertion level has been? What factors does it makes it higher at time and lower at times?

I think my daily exertion average is a 6. I try harder when Mr.Neufeld encourages me too and when we are doing an activity I am used to doing but I am always open to try new activities

3. How have you done contributing to the overall positive atmosphere around the class?

I always cheer my friends on during beep tests and try to cooperate with the rest of the people in my P.E class. This is sometimes difficult as some grade 9's do not wish to co-operate.

4. What types of goals have you set for your fitness and How are you doing working towards these Goals?

I try to gradually expand my limits of exertion to improve the results of activities such as Community Run, Beep Test, and 30 minute run. I think I have made quite good progress towards my goal as I achieved 22:30 on my last community run, 8 laps on my last 30 minute run, and 11 on my last beep test. These are all new personal bests for me.

5. What is one thing you learned about your body this semester?

I have learned that when I pace myself and not over exert right at the beginning of an activity it yields greater results. I also learned that when I choose to do activities with a different variety of people I have a better mindset on completing my objective.

6. Based on the information above what do you think would be a accurate percentage for your time in PE this year?

   I think I deserve a somewhere between 80-90%.

I couldn't post a picture of me after the 30 minute run because it was on jas's ipod which he doesn't have with him so I hope you enjoy this picture of a giraffe instead.http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7j270Xfm61ropcioo1_500.png

  1. Gurbaz I have seen a huge improvement in your attitude and effort this year. You started to really improve your fitness scores and the goofing off became less and less of an issue. I hope you connect your own enjoyment of class to your own improved behaviour. I still think you wait for a teacher or peer to get things going for you, so one goal I would suggest for next year would be to focus on thinking like a teacher in the first 10 minutes of class rather than hanging with your friends. If you start to ask what needs to be done to start class you will quickly figure out how to be more independently motivated. I thin a solid B reflects your improved effort and room for social responsibility growth. Have an awesome summer.
